What you'll do
Taste your way through Southern Italy with 3 wines, and get the skinny on this underrated and overlooked wine region.
Our goal is to make wine and wine language accessible to everyone. This is a great class if you are new to Italian wines and are looking to branch out beyond your typical wine “go-tos.” Our classes are interactive and educational, but also have a discussion component.
In these tastings, we will:
- Learn all about the wines and how to taste them
- How to pair food with the wines and discuss local cuisine
- Explore the geographical areas and how they affect the wines
- Learn wine history and language
This event is suitable for wine drinkers of all levels. You don’t need to be a wine pro to contribute – we all have something to learn and share.
Your host, Emilia, is a professional sommelier and wine industry professional.
We cannot ship non-alcoholic alternatives at this time, but non-drinking guests who do not receive a kit can join as class only for $40/person. The class will still be fun and engaging for non-drinkers, as we will talk about regional cuisine, geography, history, and travel.

Delivery information
We can ship wines within the US only. US shipping is included in the pricing. Wine cannot be shipped to Utah, guests in Utah (and international guests) can join as class-only for $40/person with wine recommendations.
An adult 21+ must sign for the package on delivery.

A Zoom link is provided by default in your confirmation email, but you can use other video conferencing software if you prefer.
What to bring
Bring wine glasses and a willingness to try something new.
For the Southern Italy 101 package, guests should also bring a wine opener.

Emilia's virtual tasting is incredibly informative and also super fun! With her huge wealth of knowledge, she takes the time to explain things in a way that is down to earth and understandable for a wine lover at any level. She has a way of connecting her audience together during a virtual tasting and making us all feel like we're in the room with her, and translates genuine excitement for the wines being tasted!

Naturally, as a wine professional, my first fear is are the wines going to be any good? These wines were so amazing that I'd be happy to participate for that alone. What I really didn't expect was that I would learn something new, but I did, which was a great surprise. Emilia has it set up so that you can learn something no matter where you are in your wine studies. I can't recommend this more for anyone who likes Italian wine.
Cancellation Policy
Grace period: free cancellation within 24 hours of booking deposit or confirmation (Unless booked within 24 hours of the event start time). After that, cancel at least 7 days prior to the event to receive a full refund (minus service fee).
