What you'll do
Meet your surf team at Venice Beach, one of the most famous and lively beaches in California. Take part in a group surfing lesson which is ideal for everyone from beginners (even first timers!) to upper intermediate levels.
Start the lesson by getting geared up with the wetsuits and surfboards (all the equipment will be provided). Head down to the sand and spend the first 20-30 minutes training on the beach and learning all the important aspects of surfing. Your professional certified instructors will teach you how to pop up on the board, educate you about the ocean and end the land lesson with the most important part - safety.
After that, enjoy the remaining time with the instructors in the ocean getting coaching and helpful pushes. It's a great way to practice your skills and have fun in the water. After the class, the instructors will lead you to an outdoor public shower where you will be able to rinse off. Don't worry about your belongings, as you will be able to leave everything locked in the surf school bus.

We had THE best time today. It was our very first time surfing today and even though we never expected we’d be able to stand up at our first day, we actually did. Amazing. They do make sure to explain every single step, make you repeat them on sand until you get some routine and get it down before they take you out into the waves. Once in the water, they’ll help you catch a wave, are with you until you finally manage to stand up and ACTUALLY SURF. We loved it and we’ll definitely come back next time we are in LA. Thank you for taking the time and being so patient with us.

Fantastic experience!! They teach key fundamentals that you can use the rest of your life. I had surfed a little bit before but was making mistakes that were easily corrected with proper teaching. I'm going back next week. Once I lock these things down and make them habits, I will be much more confident when I'm on my own. All the instructors are great and very helpful. You can't go wrong with this group.

Laura was an awesome instructor. We didn't think we'd be very good but with Laura's teaching and encouragement we had the best time riding the waves. Taking this lesson was one of our favorite experiences of our trip! Highly recommend!
Cancellation Policy
Grace period: free cancellation within 24 hours of booking deposit (Unless booked within 48 hours of the event start time). After that, cancel at least 14 days prior to the event to receive a full refund (minus service fee).
