Description

Work in teams to solve puzzles, find hidden objects, and take photos of unique things and locations. In this SOMA Scavenger Hunt, players will be racing to complete challenges, find unique locations, and even find an actor hidden in plain sight.

Discover the buried ships around Market Street, find a hidden envelope under a park bench, create a modern art tableau in the MOMA lobby, scan a lost kitten poster to find an augmented reality clue, take a group selfie with Cupid's Span, find a secret agent sitting in a Privately Owned Public Place and whisper a codeword to them for a bonus clue. Look at SOMA and your teammates in a whole new way.

Scavenger hunts are a great team building and team bonding activity. Our games are designed by an MIT- and Stanford-educated neurobiologist with extensive experience in corporate team building. The challenges will test the group’s communication, collaboration and consensus-building skills and are always a fun adventure.

We've hosted this SOMA scavenger hunt for Figma, KQED, YBCA, and more, and our scavenger hunts have been covered in CNN, ABC, and the SF Chronicle.

How to join

This is an in-person event at your location. Your host will travel to your location and set everything up.

Location

We can work with you on a starting and ending location. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, or public spaces that we can use.

If your office is around SOMA, we can meet you there.

What to bring

Bring a fully charged cell phone and your walking shoes. We’ll provide the rest.

Safety

All our facilitators are fully vaccinated. Most of this event will be held outdoors in small groups. Out of an abundance of caution, we suggest participants wear face masks during the event.

If we do have game components indoors, we will be checking everyone's vaccination status.

We got to get off the office, hang out with people in different teams. Learned a little bit about the city. People in my team definitely said they learned about San Francisco today.

It was a lot of fun, a lot of teamwork. Got to hang out with a bunch of people in the company that I don't usually hang with.

It was a great way to break up the day. I actually passed by a lot of restaurants and shops that I never noticed before. There's a little bit of history to it so I got to do some historical type things. It was pretty fun!
