Making Udon Noodles From Scratch With Love

4.80 (25)

What you'll do

At this event, your team will be rolling out and cutting udon noodles from scratch. Then, everyone will assemble the udon with the broth, noodles, and toppings.

What makes udon making fun is that it is not just a hands-on experience; but a feet-on experience as well! It requires each participant to stomp on the dough in a zip lock bag (also provided with the kit).

Included in each kit:
(1) Udon flour (contains gluten)
(2) Dashi kombu powder broth (guests can choose fish or veggie-based)
(3) Shoyu (soy sauce) seasonings
(4) Toppings - shiitake mushroom, wakame, bonita flakes, scallion
(5) optionally, sake/tea tasting kit

Note: Udon flour includes gluten, as does our soy-based seasoning, and we do not offer a gluten-free option. Guests who need gluten-free noodles can participate with the regular kit, and substitute their own gluten-free dry noodles and tamari that they purchase from the store.

We all had a great time making Udon, especially stomping on the dough! The bowl at the end was delicious as well. The 1 hour time did feel a little rushed, but we were happy with the end result, and glad we did this offsite. Make sure to keep the ingredients and tools ready!
