What you'll do
Preparing your own gyoza at home!
Keep calm and gyoza on! Even though we’re sheltering-in-place, you can still enjoy fresh gyoza.
We’ll prepare the ingredients for you including the gyoza filling and gyoza dough. While you’re at home, you can follow us in a virtual session to practice how to roll the dough into thin sheets, learn techniques in wrapping gyoza dumpling and cook the dumplings in a pan. In our online session, we’ll also demonstrate how we prepare the dough and fillings. Expect to have about 14-18 dumplings per serving, depending on how thin you roll the dough out. You get to roll out the dough, add the filling, wrap them and then cook them with us guiding you through virtually.
Please note we are currently unable to accommodate gluten free or soy free options for this event.

Delivery information
Shipping cost is included for US addresses within the lower 48 states. Shipping to HI, AK, and Canada will be an additional $25 per kit.
We use special perishable-food-safe foam packaging & dry ice packs for shipping outside of the Bay Area. The size of the shipping box is: 12” x 11” x 10”.
We can ship sake to US residents aged 21 or older, except those living in the following states: AL, UT, KY, DE, RI and MI, who can receive tea only. International guests can only receive the tea tasting, no alcohol.
How to join
This is a virtual event.
A Zoom link is provided by default in your confirmation email, but you can use other video conferencing software if you prefer.

I enjoyed making gyozas with the team. It was yummy, tricky, and interesting. I wish the folding technique was a bit clearer, easier to see or follow. I ended up just winging some folding pattern.

Gathering some feedback from the team - it would be appreciated if the bags that the dough and filling are in were labeled with what they are and the ingredients. Several of our participants had their ingredient packs tossed by over zealous house members that did not recognize the packages. Also we had at least one participant received their ingredients on the warm side - could have used a colder ice pack and/or better insulation.
Cancellation Policy
Grace period: free cancellation within 24 hours of booking deposit (Unless booked within 48 hours of the event start time). After that, cancel at least 14 days prior to the event to receive a full refund (minus service fee).
