Tea can be a great way to relax. Sure, coffee is the ultimate pick-me-up, but you don't always want to be wound up. For those times when you're looking for just a hint of caffeine or a way to completely wind down, tea is the answer. The next time you're on the hunt for a creative, calming and fun team-building activity, a virtual tea tasting is the way to go. Here are some of our favorite tea-tasting classes.

Get Bobawasted

Ever had boba milk tea? Don't knock it 'till you try it. During this virtual tea tasting, you and your team will learn how to make boba tea, hear about the cultural history of the tea, and how the brewing process changes depending on what kind of tea you're using. This class comes with a kit that includes everything you'll need to make boba milk tea. The kit also has enough boba tea for you to savor some long after the activity is over.

Experience Tea Like Never Before

For the more experienced tea drinkers, you might want to try Experience Tea Like Never Before. This class takes tea tasting to the next level. During this 60-minute activity, you and your team will be guided through tea-tasting steps and learn how to identify different types of tea along the way. After you taste some of the teas, your team will even get the chance to guess a "mystery tea." Spooky! The kit for this class comes with four different types of organic tea.

Earth Meditation and Mindful Tea Practice

Did we mention how relaxing and calming tea tasting can be? Well, yes, we did. And Earth Meditation and Mindful Tea Practice reinforce that notion. This class focuses on the healing power of tea and mindfulness. During the event, you and your team will learn about Gongfu tea, a centuries-old method of making tea from the Ming Dynasty of China. Gongfu tea uses a variety of small infusions of a tea from a "gaiwan" (teapot), a fairness cup, and small “three sip” cups. This technique of tea making and tea tasting is designed to allow for maximum customization. It also allows the taster to be fully present, by forcing them to focus on the smallest changes to the tea. Let's face it, we could all use a nudge to be more present in our lives.

Tea-Tini - Mixology Class

Tea-tini is exactly what it sounds like — a class featuring tea-based cocktails (or mocktails). Prior to this event, you and your team will send the hosts a list of tea-infused cocktails from a menu of carefully-curated recipes. Once the host has your list, they'll send you the customized kits. This class is great because it has a few variations, from the number of cocktails to the types of kits provided. You can also make this class short (30 minutes) or long (two hours) depending on your schedule.
